New Œuvre Catalogue: Max Beckmann. The Watercolours and Pastels

Presented in solo exhibitions and placed in major art collections by Galerie Thomas, the work of Max Beckmann has been an important position of our gallery programme for many decades. After the exclusive distribution of the special limited edition of the painting catalogue, it is a great pleasure for us to continue our cooperation with the Kaldewei Cultural Foundation and now offer you another exclusive collector's item: "Max Beckmann. The watercolours and pastels".

The œuvre catalogue of the coloured works on paper is based on the catalogue raisonné published in 2006 by Mayen Beckmann, Siegfried Gohr and Max Hollein, which, supervised by Jana Diermann, has been comprehensively supplemented and updated. Limited to 100 copies, the edition is bound in high-quality leather and contains ten black-and-white and 318 colour illustrations, 63 of which are even reproduced in the original size of the works. Explanatory commentaries by Siegfried Gohr and further scientific findings on the works, which - like the digital catalogue - can be accessed via a QR code, make this art-historically relevant publication a unique read.

The collector's edition can be pre-ordered from us now until 1 May 2024 at a discounted subscription price of 450 euros. After that, the regular retail price will be 499 euros while for members of the Max Beckmann Society, the price of 450 euros still applies.

The catalogue will be published by the Kaldewei Cultural Foundation in May 2024.
