"Untitled Fire Painting (F 118)", 1961

This work belonged to french architect Claude Parent. From 1959 onwards, Yves Klein collaborated with him on a project for a 'fountain of water and fire'. As part of this collaboration, Klein produced this painting, which Claude Parent kept in his private collection. This work concentrates Klein's approach, who worked on these paintings with a torch and a water jet. The trace of the water jet is clearly visible in the diagonal of the work.
