Rebecca Horn holds an outstanding position in contemporary art. Being a pioneer of performance, her oeuvre also includes sculpture, painting, installation and kinetic objects. In addition, Rebecca Horn is a writer and poet, and literature is a strong influence in her work. "Boys with one spoon too much" belongs to a group of literature boxes which merge literary allusions with a hermetical, lyrical combination of objects, movement and scriptural painting. It reminds clearly of Surrealist aesthetics and allows the spectator to follow his own associations.
