Henry Moore is the best known sculptor of the 20th century. His abstracted human figures have had a lasting effect on the concept of modern sculpture and are instantly recognizable. Moore was repeatedly invited to participate in the Venice Biennale and during his lifetime had exhibitions at all prestigious museums. Moore received numerous public commissions; his bronzes are installed in public spaces all over the world, for example in front of the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
