Philosophy, physics and mathematics, movement and time play an important role in the installations and sculptures of Alicja Kwade. In 2019 she was invited to create a commissioned work for the roof of the Metropolitan Museum in New York. By their treatment, she lends ordinary objects, such as pebbles, an aura of preciousness. The Polish national, who lives in Berlin, has lately achieved the status of one of the best known artists in the world.
